QuitPace LegalLast updated January 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how QuitPace ("QuitPace," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Summary

Highlights
  • Your nicotine logs stay on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
  • We store limited account metadata and plan configuration (such as plan type, pace, and quit date) to help manage subscriptions and account access.
  • We collect minimal analytics events (onboarding steps, paywall views, purchases) to improve the app.
  • We process barcode lookups and product submissions to provide product data.
  • The free version may display ads through Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers.
  • You may optionally sign in with Apple or Google for certain features.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide in the App (Stored Locally)

When you use the app, you can enter data such as:

  • Nicotine consumption logs and notes
  • Goals, plans, and preferences
  • Custom products you create

This information is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not upload or store this data on our servers.

1.2 Account and Plan Metadata (Stored on Our Servers)

If you sign in, we store limited account metadata to help operate the Services. This may include:

  • Your account ID and email address
  • Plan type, pace, and quit date
  • App version, last seen time, and basic device platform (iOS)
  • Subscription status and overrides (if applied)

We do not upload your nicotine logs or detailed intake history.

1.3 Barcode Lookups and Product Data

When you scan or search for a product, we process the request to find a match. This may include:

  • The barcode or product code you scan or enter
  • Product metadata returned by our database or a UPC provider (for example, product name, brand, image, and source type)

We may store product data in a shared product cache so future scans can be resolved faster. Product data may be visible to other users. Do not submit personal or sensitive information in product fields.

1.4 Account Information

If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic account information such as your user ID and email address from our authentication provider (Supabase). We use this information to enable access to authenticated features and manage your session.

1.5 Analytics Events

We collect lightweight analytics events to understand how the app is used and improve onboarding, paywalls, and plan recommendations. These events may include:

  • Onboarding step views and completion
  • Paywall views and purchase attempts
  • Plan selection and settings changes

Analytics events are linked to an anonymous device identifier and, if you sign in, your account ID. We do not include nicotine logs in analytics events.

If you contact us, we will collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, and message) and use it to respond.
